Heck! kick off 2021 with their new campaign ‘Show ‘em What You’re Made Of’

Family food business HECK, the UK’s largest premium sausage and burger company, have started the new year with a series of TV spots launching their new brand campaign ‘Show ‘em What You’re Made Of’

The first of the TV spots, inspired by the HECK factory team’s love of dancing, is designed to show the world the people behind the sausages, and to bring a burst of happiness in an otherwise very difficult time.

The film, set in the HECK Warehouse up in Yorkshire, features the track Break My Stride by Mattew Wilder and a collection of the HECK team dancing amidst their day-to-day work.

The ads are the first in a series of work that will run across 2021 to show the world what HECK are made of, and hopefully encourage people to take a leap and show the world what they are made of too.

Noel Hamilton (ECD at Neverland) said, “The world needs a lot more people like the HECK team. They threw themselves into everything they do and their passion and excitement to make people smile really shows.”

The TV campaign will be running across January and is supported by a social campaign and TV sponsorship.

Heck! sponsor new walking show with Julia Bradbury

As part of their new campaign ‘Show ‘em what you’re made of’, HECK are sponsoring “Devon & Cornwall walks with Julia Bradbury” on ITV, which launches tonight.

In keeping with HECK’s recently launched TV spots, the idents use real HECK employees from their tight-knit family run business in Bedale, Yorkshire.  In this work, we see Jack (HECK Marketing Team) make his way from the HECK Factory in Yorkshire to Cornwall with his HECK sausages helping him along the way - from getting signal in the remote British countryside, to making friends with a Cornish fisherman on the beach.

The production of the idents inspired Jack to take on the challenge for real, and on December 18th he completed the 467 miles from the HECK factory to Bide, Cornwall to raise money for a charity close to his family, SameYou.

The sponsorship forms part of their wider campaign, where HECK leading by example and encouraging the nation to ‘show ‘em what you’re made of’. The broader partnership with ITV will see extra content with Julia Bradbury going behind the scenes at HECK to really see what the company is made of.

Filmed and produced in lock down, the ‘Make this Summer Happy as Heck!’ campaign launches with a vibrant 30” spot on Channel 4. The TVC will be supported by social, OOH, national PR and competitions across the Summer.

As 30 year old Jamie Keeble (co-founder of HECK!) explains. “The last few months have been an unprecedented time for food manufacturing and our business has changed inside and out. As a company, our focus initially was on our people and community and helping where we can. Then we looked at how we could respond to the new way of shopping and eating and we launched a new frozen range which has been incredibly popular as people are shopping less and stocking up their freezers. We now have the biggest range of fantastic tasty range of pork, chicken and vegan burgers and bangers, much loved by a very loyal audience. We’d now like to invest in the future of the business by bringing our story to a wider TV audience.”

“We are extremely proud to be working with such a successful independent British food brand. This first work sets out Heck’s stall as the leader in sizzle.” - Jon Forsyth

“A proudly independent Yorkshire company with huge passion for everything they do and an uncompromising commitment to quality, Heck’s values are very much aligned with our own. We’re hugely excited to be working with them to turn up the heat on their brand awareness this summer, exposing their unrivalled product range to a wider food loving audience.” - Bridget Moore (Founder & MD of Alchemy Media)
